The brides who come to us six weeks before the wedding are always the most anxious, and it is rarely their fault. Nobody told them when to start.
By six weeks, the useful window for treating acne scarring has closed. Laser hair removal cannot be completed. Anything with real downtime is now a risk rather than an option. What is left is hydration, brightening, and careful damage control, which works, but it is not what they came in hoping for.
The brides who arrive six months out get a completely different conversation.
This guide is built backwards from your wedding date rather than around a package. It covers what is worth booking at six months, at three months, at one month, and in the final fortnight, plus the treatments to refuse outright if someone offers them close to the day.
If your wedding is a long way off, this is the most useful thing you will read today. If it is three weeks away, skip to the final sections and we will work with what we have.
Six Months Before: The Work That Actually Takes Time
This is the window most brides miss, and it is the only one where the slow problems can be properly fixed.
Acne scarring, stubborn pigmentation and a full course of laser hair removal all need months, not weeks. Start now and they are finished with room to spare. Start at three months and you are rushing. Start at six weeks and they are off the table.
Acne and Acne Scarring
If you have active acne, treat the acne before touching the scars. Working on scarring while breakouts continue creates new marks faster than the old ones fade.
Once the acne is settled, scar treatment begins. Rolling and boxcar scars respond to microneedling with radiofrequency across three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. That is a five-month commitment before you account for the healing between sessions.
Book by: Six months out, minimum
Melasma and Pigmentation
Pigmentation is the concern that punishes late starts hardest, because it responds slowly and flares under pressure.
Pico laser and Q-switch treatment work well on Pakistani skin, but they need four to six sessions spaced four weeks apart, plus strict sun protection throughout. Melasma in particular tends to return if the underlying trigger is not addressed, which is why we assess hormonal factors alongside the skin.
Book by: Six months out
Laser Hair Removal
A full course is six to eight sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart for face and six to eight weeks for body. Do the arithmetic and that is eight to twelve months for a complete course.
Six months gets you most of the way. Three months gets you three sessions, which reduces growth but will not finish the job.
Waxing between sessions defeats the treatment entirely, so the decision to switch to laser is one you make early or not at all.
Book by: Eight months out ideally, six months at the latest
Six Months Before: The Work That Actually Takes Time
For brides seeking jawline definition or firmness, HIFU and radiofrequency microneedling both require 3 to 6 months to show their full collagen response.
This is optional rather than standard bridal prep, and worth discussing honestly at consultation rather than adding by default.
Book by: Six months out
What Not to Start Now
Do not begin any prescription treatment for acne without discussing your wedding date. Isotretinoin in particular rules out most laser and microneedling for six months after the course ends, which can quietly close every other door on this list.
Three Months Before: Still Enough Time, If You Move Now
Three months is workable. You lose the option of a complete laser hair removal course and deep scar revision, but almost everything else remains open.
The priority shifts from fixing structural problems to improving overall skin quality, and from starting courses to finishing them.
If You Started at Six Months
Keep going. Do not add anything new.
The temptation at this point is to layer additional treatments on top of what is working, usually because a friend recommended something. Resist it. Skin responding well to a protocol does not need a second protocol introduced three months before it is judged.
If You Are Starting Now
Chemical peels. A course of three to four medical peels spaced three to four weeks apart improves texture, tone and mild pigmentation. Superficial peels have minimal downtime and can be completed comfortably before the wedding.
Carbon laser peel. Useful for oily skin, enlarged pores and dullness. Sessions every three to four weeks, with visible brightening from the first. No downtime, which makes it one of the safer choices at this stage.
Laser hair removal, partial course. Three sessions will not complete the job but will noticeably reduce growth. Worth starting only if you accept that and do not wax in between.
Skin boosters and mesotherapy. Hydration-focused injectables improve skin quality without altering shape. Two to three sessions spaced four weeks apart.
Body Treatment, If Planned
Brides often forget the areas the outfit will show. Back, arms, neck and decolletage all respond to the same treatments as the face but need their own sessions and their own timeline.
Three months is enough for a course of body peels or laser toning. It is not enough for body laser hair removal to complete.
The Honest Note on Injectables
If you are considering Botox or filler for the first time, three months out is the right window and not later.
First-time injectable patients need time to see how their face settles, and time to correct or dissolve if the result is not what they wanted. Two weeks before a wedding is the worst possible time to discover you dislike something.
One Month Before: Glow, Not Correction
The correcting is finished. Whatever your skin is going to be on the day, it largely is already.
This month is about hydration, brightness and finishing courses cleanly. It is also the month where brides do the most damage by panicking and booking something aggressive.
What Works Now
HydraFacial. The most reliable choice at this stage. Cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates with no downtime, and the brightening effect is immediate. Two sessions across the month works well, the second no closer than a week before the wedding.
Carbon laser peel. Safe at this distance and excellent for a final clarity boost on oily or congested skin. Book at three to four weeks out, not later.
Skin boosters. A hydration session at three weeks out gives skin a plumpness that photographs well. Injectable, but superficial and predictable.
Final laser hair removal session. Complete the course now. Nothing after the two-week mark.
Glutathione or vitamin drips. If you have been having them, continue. Do not start a new IV protocol this month.
What to Stop
- Do not start any new active skincare product
- Do not increase retinoid strength
- Do not book a first-time treatment of any kind
- Do not begin a new supplement regimen
New products introduced this month have one month to cause a reaction and no time to recover from one. Whatever your routine has been, keep it.
The Trial Run Nobody Books
Book your bridal facial as a trial four to five weeks out, on the same skin, with the same practitioner, using the same protocol you plan to have before the wedding.
If it suits you, repeat it. If it does not, you have found out with time to spare rather than three days before the nikah.
Almost nobody does this, and it is the single most useful appointment in the entire month.
The Final Two Weeks: What to Avoid
This is the section I would most want a bride to read, because almost every skin disaster we are asked to fix happens here.
The pattern is always the same. Nerves rise, someone recommends something, and a treatment gets booked ten days out that should have happened three months earlier.
Do Not Book These
Treatment | Why Not |
Any laser resurfacing | Peeling, redness and pigmentation risk with no time to settle |
Microneedling or RF microneedling | Grid pattern of entry points takes 3 to 7 days minimum |
Medium or deep chemical peels | Visible shedding through the second week |
First-time Botox or filler | No time to assess, adjust or dissolve |
Threading or waxing on the face | Redness, and ingrown risk close to the day |
Any first-time treatment at all | You do not know how your skin will respond |
Dermaplaning if you have never had it | Irritation and breakout risk |
A new prescription skincare product | One reaction and there is no recovery window |
What Is Still Safe
Up to seven days before: HydraFacial if you have had one before, gentle hydrating facial with no extractions, body waxing, which needs 48 to 72 hours to settle.
Up to three days before: Light hydrating facial, eyebrow shaping if it is your usual technician, manicure and pedicure.
The day before: Sheet mask. Nothing else.
If Something Goes Wrong
Redness, a breakout, or a reaction in the final week is upsetting but usually manageable.
Call the clinic rather than treating it yourself. Do not apply a stronger product to fix it, and do not book an emergency facial with someone who has never seen your skin. Most of what happens in this window settles faster with rest and hydration than with intervention.
The worst outcomes we see are not from the original problem. They are from what was applied to fix it.
Grooms: The Half of the Wedding Nobody Writes For
Every bridal skincare guide in Pakistan is written for brides, and grooms turn up at our clinics anyway, usually three weeks out and slightly embarrassed to be asking.
The timeline is shorter and the concerns differ, but the same rule applies. Start early enough and the options are wide. Leave it late and you are limited to hydration.
What Grooms Actually Ask About
Concern | Realistic Timeline |
Beard shaping and neckline hair removal | 4 to 6 months for laser, 1 week for grooming |
Hair thinning at the crown or temples | 6 months minimum, longer for transplant |
Acne on the back and shoulders | 3 months |
Dullness and uneven tone | 1 to 2 months |
Double chin and jawline definition | 3 to 4 months |
Dark circles | 2 to 3 months |
Hair Loss Is the One With the Longest Runway
This is the most common groom concern and the one most often raised too late.
PRP needs three to four sessions across three months before results appear, and continues improving for months after. A hair transplant needs six to twelve months for full growth, which puts it outside the window for most grooms already engaged.
If hair is a concern and the wedding is under four months away, the honest answer is that we can improve density modestly but not transform it. Start now and it will look considerably better at the reception than it does at the nikah.
What Works at Three Weeks
- HydraFacial, one session
- Beard tidying and neckline shaping, one week out
- Hydration and a proper sunscreen habit
That is the realistic list. Anything more aggressive carries the same risks it does for brides.
What Bridal Skin Preparation Actually Costs in Pakistan
Most clinics quote a package. Packages are convenient, but they bundle treatments you may not need with ones you do, and they rarely reflect what your skin actually requires.
Here is what the components cost individually, so you can build a plan around your concerns and your budget rather than accepting a fixed bundle.
Treatment | Per Session (PKR) | Sessions Typically Needed |
HydraFacial | 8,000 to 20,000 | 2 to 4 |
Carbon laser peel | 8,000 to 18,000 | 3 to 4 |
Medical chemical peel | 6,000 to 15,000 | 3 to 4 |
Pico laser for pigmentation | 15,000 to 30,000 | 4 to 6 |
Laser hair removal, full face | 8,000 to 18,000 | 6 to 8 |
Skin boosters or mesotherapy | 20,000 to 45,000 | 2 to 3 |
RF microneedling for scarring | 40,000 to 80,000 | 3 to 4 |
Glutathione IV drip | 12,000 to 30,000 | 4 to 8 |
Realistic Budgets by Timeline
Starting Point | Focus | Indicative Total (PKR) |
Six months out, scarring and pigmentation | Full correction plus maintenance | 200,000 to 450,000 |
Six months out, general glow | Peels, facials, laser hair removal | 120,000 to 250,000 |
Three months out | Peels, carbon peel, boosters | 80,000 to 160,000 |
One month out | HydraFacial and hydration only | 25,000 to 60,000 |
Price disclaimer: These are indicative market ranges for Pakistan as at August 2026. Actual pricing at Le Lotus Clinique is confirmed at consultation once your concerns have been assessed. Session requirements vary between individuals. |
Where Brides Overspend
Buying a package that includes treatments for concerns you do not have. A bride with clear skin and no pigmentation does not need a pigmentation course inside her bundle.
Starting too late and paying for urgency. Compressed timelines mean more sessions closer together, and sometimes more expensive treatments chosen because the cheaper slow option no longer fits.
Adding treatments out of anxiety rather than assessment. The month before a wedding is when the most unnecessary spending happens.
Where Brides Underspend
Skipping sun protection. A good sunscreen used daily protects the results of everything above it. Skipping it undoes a pigmentation course that cost a hundred times more.
Not treating the neck, back and arms. The face gets the budget and the outfit shows everything else.
